Over 47,000 tourist arrivals in SL in July

COLOMBO (News 1st); The tourist arrivals in July amounted to 47,293, the Sri Lanka Tourist Development Authority (SLTDA) states.

Accordingly, tourist arrivals in the country has risen in contrast with the two previous months, when it recorded the lowest so far this year in May, with 30,207 tourists, followed by 32,856 tourists.

The United Kingdom, India, Germany, France and Canada were Sri Lanka’s top five international tourist generating markets for the month of July this year. 

The United Kingdom was the largest source of tourist visits to Sri Lanka with 20% of the total traffic received in July. India and Germany accounted for 13% and 8% of the total traffic respectively while France and Canada accounted for 7%(both).
