COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka's workers' remittance have recorded a decrease of 50% has been noted with regard to the cumulative workers' remittances for the months January to July 2022 in comparison with the same period last year. 

The cumulative workers' remittance for the months January to July last year is 3,777.6 million USD, in contrast with 1,889.4 million USD.

According to CBSL, workers’ remittances moderated to 297.5 million USD in July 2022, 274 million USD during June 2022, in comparison to US dollars 304 million in the previous month.
