Parliament to meet at 10 AM today (12)

COLOMBO (News 1st); Parliament Sittings will commence today (12) at 10.00 a.m. and continuation of the Adjournment debate on the Statement of Government Policy made by the President on 03rd August 2022 will be held until 04.30 p.m.
According to parliamentary sources, new members will be appointed to the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) and Committee on Public Accounts (COPA) today.
The new Committee on Public Finances was appointed this week and it consists of 22 members.
With the recent prorogation of Parliament, 11 parliamentary committees ceased to function.
