WHO donated Monkeypox test kits

COLOMBO (News 1st); The World Health Organisation (WHO) has donated a stock of testing kits to Sri Lanka, to detect the Monkeypox virus. 

The Director of Medical Technology Services and Chief Coordinator of COVID-19 at the Ministry of Health Dr. Anwar Hamdani said the Monkeypox testing kits were handed over to the Borella Medical Research Institute and the Kandy Teaching Hospital.

The WHO has presented the testing kits to use in the event suspected cases are reported in the country.
