Air Force Drone crashes into Diyawanna Oya; Recovery Underway

COLOMBO (News 1st); A Sri Lanka Air Force Drone that was deployed for aerial security during the ceremonial opening of the 3rd session of the 9th Parliament had crashed in to the Diyawanna Oya on Wednesday (3).
Sri Lanka Air Force spokesperson Group Captain Dushan Wijesinghe told News 1st that the Drone encountered a technical issue, and crashed into the water.
Sri Lanka Navy divers have been assigned to recovered the Drone from the depths of the Diyawanna Oya, he added.
