HL: COLOMBO (News 1st); The Department of Meteorology announced that a few showers may occur in Western and Southern provinces. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere during the evening or night.

Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm can be expected at some places in the Central, North-central, Eastern, and Uva provinces.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
