Health DG strongly recommends to wear masks

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardane had said it is strongly recommended to wear face masks during public gatherings and while indoors in public places.
He further said that it is also recommended to wear face masks when travelling on public transportation.
The Director of Health Services being the Proper Authority for the whole of Sri Lanka, issued the direction under the regulation made under the quarantine and Prevention of Disease Ordinance No. 03 of 1897 published by the Ministry of Health.
