Police call for reports on damages to President’s Office

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Fort Police has requested the Archeology Department to provide a full report on the damage incurred to the archaeological monuments of the President’s Office, which was occupied by protestors.

A senior official at the Archeological Department stated that the relevant report will be provided soon.

Meanwhile, the Department of Archeology has launched investigations into the damage caused to the President’s House, the Temple Trees and the Prime Minister’s Office during the protests.

The department said that a report with regard to the damage incurred to the Prime Minister’s Office has been handed over to the police.

The Department of Archeology also stated that further investigations into the damage incurred to the Presidents’ House and Temple Trees are are currently underway, and all the reports are due to be handed over to the police once completed.
