COLOMBO (News 1st); Former President and Former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa said that the SLPP had nominated Dullas Alahapperuma for President and he backed the former during the vote.

Mahinda Rajapaksa said that they even though the group voted for Alahapperuma he had lost the election for President, losing by a majority to Ranil Wickremesinghe.
