Sajith & Dullas sit together for first press conference after nomination

COLOMBO (News 1st); Parliamentarian Dullas Alahapperuma stated that what started today (19) was a journey of unity and he will be dedicated in enhancing the livelihood of the Sri Lankan public.

He stated that Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa who had earlier decided to contest the election for the Presidency has taken a historical decision at a crucial moment and pledged that he will be committed changing the political culture of Sri Lanka.

Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa said that he took this decision in order to win the democratic rights of the people of this country by re-enacting the Nineteenth Amendment to the Constitution while taking the country forward economically, socially and culturally.

The Leader of the Opposition said that his sole objective is to make the aspirations of people in this country come true and added that he will be dedicated to that.

The special press conference which was attended by the candidate for the Presidency Dullas Alahapperuma and the Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa was held in Parliamentary premises today.

The vote for the election of the Successor President will take place tomorrow (20) where Samagi Jana Balawegaya and Samagi Jana Coalition will be supporting Parliamentarian Dullas Alahapperuma.
