Likely rise of COVID-19 again, warns health official

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Health says that the a slight increase in COVID-19 patients has been detected.

The Deputy Director General of Health Services Specialist Dr. Hemantha Herath said that the daily number of COVID-19 infected people has increased to about 25, which was limited to about 10 in the last few days.

While pointing out that it is not a cause for alarm, Dr. Herath said that the public should remain concerned.

However, the Deputy Director General of Health Services made a request to the people to follow health measures, such as wearing masks, in addition to obtaining the fourth dose of the vaccine as soon as possible.
