COLOMBO (News 1st); The Chairman of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna has questioned the General Secretary of the SLPP Sagara Kariyawasam over his statement citing that SLPP has pledged its support to the Acting President as a candidate for the Presidential Polls.

In a letter, the SLPP Chairman has questioned as to whether under whose purview the decision was taken, who was present when the decision was taken, under which basis was the acting President chosen as a candidate, the exepected time, date and place of the meeting, and has further questioned as to under which basis this decision aligns with the policies of the party
