Ensure the highest democratic standards - HRCSL

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Human Right Commission of Sri Lanka calls for a peaceful transition of power in terms of the Constitution.

HRCSL expects the country to act responsibly and all sections that have been agitating so far to fall in line with the constitutional process and maintain law and order and protect the fundamental rights of the people.

All parliamentarians should ensure that the highest democratic standards are maintained so that Sri Lanka will continue to be a representative democracy.
