COLOMBO (News 1st); The Lanka Private Bus Owners Association says ONLY a limited number of buses will be available since SLTB depots were on strike and fuel was NOT issued for private buses.
Its President Gemunu Wijeratne said 95 percent of the buses will NOT be in operation today.
The Department of Railways says train services resumed operating as usual at 8:00 AM today after the curfew is lifted.
Railways General Manager Dhammika Jayasundara said train operations will continue according to the scheduled time table.
He said the Railways Department has sufficient fuel reserves to continue operations.
