NO disruptions to telecommunication services: TRCSL

COLOMBO (News 1st); Jayantha De Silva, Chairman of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka says that there is NO truth in the letter circulating that the TRCSL has directed telephone service providers to limit telephone service to voice communication from 6 AM tomorrow (09) morning until further notice.
When inquired by News 1st, he emphasized that the TRCSL has not issued any such letter restricting communication activities in any way.
De Silva stated that the President also inquired about this, which he had to clarify.
The TRCSL Chairman insisted that social media networks will not be blocked in any way.
