COLOMBO (News 1st); A high-level delegation representing the US Department of the Treasury and the US Department of State that arrived in the country will meet with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe today (27).
The visiting US delegation will meet with political representatives, economists, and international organizations.
According to the US Embassy in Sri Lanka, four senior officials from the US Treasury and the State Department arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday (26) morning and they will remain in the country until Wednesday, the 29th of June.
The members of the delegation include Robert Kaproth, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Treasury for Asia, and Ambassador Kelly Keiderling, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia.
The US delegation is here to explore the most effective ways for the US to support Sri Lankans in need.
