Four injured in filling station clash

COLOMBO (News 1st); Four persons were injured in a clash near a filling station in Wellawaya today (25).

Police Media Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa stated that the clash had taken place between two groups who had arrived at the filling station to obtain fuel last night.

A man had arrived at the filling station to obtain fuel for a lawn mower, and 4 others in a three wheeler have got into an argument with him.

Police mentioned that the person who arrived with the lawn mower had attacked the others with a sharp object and injured the four occupants of the three wheeler.

Accordingly, one injured person has been admitted to the Wellawaya Hospital, while investigations are underway to arrest the suspect involved in the clash that took place last night.
