Sri Lanka to import paper for text books

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Education Ministry said that plans are in place to meet the basic requirements in the school system for the upcoming academic year without any shortage.

Minster Susil Premajayanth said the paper required to print School Text Books will be imported under the Indian Line of Credit.

He said discussions were held with local manufacturers and the Chinese Government on supplying the required material for school uniforms next year.

The Ministry of Education plans to hold the 2022 GCE Advanced Level Examination in October and the 2022 Grade 05 Scholarship Exam in November.

The 2022 GCE Ordinary Level Examination is scheduled for February next year.
