Private Buses urged to move to SLTB depots

COLOMBO (News 1st); Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekara said that all private buses will be issued fuel from the nearest SLTB depo, and drivers are urged NOT to proceed to other filling stations.

Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) said that steps have been taken to increase the number of bus operations.

The National Transport Commission (NTC) said that inter-provincial bus services will have to operate with restrictions.

Also, the Lanka Private Bus Owners' Association said that buses are receiving fuel. The Chairman of the Lanka Private Bus Owners' Association said that according to the relevant conditions buses will be added to the service.

Moreover, Sri Lanka Railways said that the Department has sufficient stocks of fuel for future operations.
