NO Power Cuts in the Morning – PUCSL

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) said that there will be NO power cut in the morning from Monday (20).

The Chairman of the PUCSL Janaka Ratnayake said the decision was reached following a request made by the Ministry of Education to facilitate online education.

However, the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has been permitted to cut power for 2 hours and 30-minutes in four stages from Monday (20) between noon and 10:30 PM.

The Chairman of the PUCSL Janaka Ratnayake said that the Ministry of Power & Energy has agreed to continue to supply crude oil and naphtha required for the production of electricity.
