COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police arrested a 59-year-old man from Wattala on Saturday (18) for the possession of five weapons.

A statement from the Police Media Division said that the Wattala Police was tipped that a person was concealing a weapon manufactured overseas in his residence.

Following a raid, police officers recovered two double-barreled shotguns, onw single-barreled shotgun, and two 0.22 firearms.

The suspect will be produced to the Welisara Magistrate on Sunday (19).
