COLOMBO (News 1st); The National Transport Commission (NTC) says that it has taken steps to provide maximum services to the public over the long weekend despite the pertaining fuel crisis.
Its Director General, Commander General Nilan Miranda said that bus services within Provinces as well as inter-province buses will provide its services subject to restrictions.
The President of the Ceylon Private Bus Owners' Association, Gemunu Wijeratne stated that private buses will also continue to operate on a limited basis from today (11).
Meanwhile, people who were homebound for a long weekend were severely affected by the non-availability of trains and buses last night (10).
