Litro Chairman resigns after less than two months on the job

COLOMBO (News 1st); Litro Gas Chairman Eng. Vijitha Herath has resigned from his position.

In an announcement to the media, he said his resignation is in effect from Friday (10).

On the 21st of April, Engineer Vijitha Herath, former chairman of Sri Lanka Insurance and Ceylon Electricity Board was appointed as the chairman of state-run Litro Gas Lanka Limited.

Herath was appointed after former Litro chairman Theshara Jayasinghe resigned on April 14th, accusing the gas supplier for institutional corruption and other irregularities.
