COLOMBO (News 1st); The President has instructed officials to release imported essential items from ports without delays. 

In a statement, the Presidential Media Division stated that the trust of the international community must be established with regard to Sri Lanka’s ports. 

Pointing out that reports of fraudulent activities taking place with regard to the imported items at the port, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa instructed officials to prevent such activities from taking place with the intervention of Sathosa and other authorities.

President Rajapaksa, in reference to the recent Aeroflot issue, emphasized the importance of working in accordance with diplomacy and diplomatic ties in mind, in resolving issues.
