COLOMBO (News 1st); Former Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa said that those who passed the ball (gave the mandate) to the current administration should be held responsible for the crisis.
Speaking during a press conference held today (9), the former Minister vehemently denied reports mentioning that what is being done is ‘passing the ball’.
He said that he submitted his letter of resignation to step down from Parliament to pave the way for a more suitable person to enter the Parliament.
Pointing out that he too, is now a normal citizen, the former Finance Minister said that the people who voted for them must be held responsible for the crisis.
