COLOMBO (News 1st); The Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Association said that the operation of private buses has been further restricted on Tuesday (7) due to the fuel crisis.
The Chairman of the Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Association Gemunu Wijeratne said that private bus services are limited to 25% on Tuesday (7).
Meanwhile, the Department of Railways said that its diesel capacity is sufficient for a few days.
The Deputy General Manager of Railways Gamini Seneviratne said that there is NO problem in procuring diesel at present.
The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) told that the fuel reserves currently owned by the SLTB will be sufficient for bus services for the next few days.
