Diesel shipment to reach SL on 16th June

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Power and Energy said that another diesel shipment will arrive in the country on the 16th of June.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Power and Energy said arrangements were being made to bring in two more vessels before that shipment reaches Sri Lankan shores.

The spokesman further said that steps will be taken on Tuesday (7) to open the letters of credit required for the two Diesel and Petrol shipments.

He added that an order was placed for another Crude Oil shipment, and the existing Crude Oil stocks will last for two weeks.
