Sri Lanka's Auto Diesel requirement, unusually high

COLOMBO (News 1st); According to o the statistics of the Ministry of Energy, the daily requirement of auto diesel in the country is 5,100 MT.

However, due to the current uncertainty over fuel, it has risen sharply leading to an unusual high.

The Petroleum Trade Unions pointed out that despite such a huge demand, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) releases only 3,000 MT per day.

Due to this situation, there is a shortage of diesel in many cities throughout the country.
