Chinese vessel transports three barges to Colombo

COLOMBO (News 1st); The latest 80,000-ton semi-submersible vessel M.V. XIN YAO HUA carrying 3 Transport Barges arrived at Colombo Port on Sunday (5).

These Chinese ships will join the JUN HAI 1 super Dredger for the Sri Lankan Port Expansion Project including ECT2 & JCT5 and support Sri Lanka's economic recovery, said the Chinese Embassy in Colombo.

The vessel XIN YAO HUA (IMO: 9925980, MMSI 636021076) is a Heavy Load Carrier built in 2022 and currently sailing under the flag of Liberia.

On March 6th, at Ras Laffan anchorage in Qatar, MV XIN YAO HUA floated off Milaha Floating Dock SPP2 and successfully completed her maiden voyage.

Officially delivered in Guangzhou on January 19th, 2022, MV XIN YAO HUA sailed for her maiden voyage of floating dock transportation project from South Korea to Qatar.

The floating dock has a total length of 230 meters, a width of 45 meters, and an irregular structural bulge of 1.5 meters on each side.
