COLOMBO (News 1st); An unidentified body of a man has been found in the area where the water of the Ma Oya has receded.

Police said the body was decomposed beyond age recognition or identification.

However, the deceased was about 5 feet 4 inches and was wearing a green shirt and black pants at the time of death.

The body has been placed at the Kurunegala Hospital morgue until the postmortem examination.

The body was found following a message received by the Police Emergency Response Unit, and Polgahawela Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
