Elections Commission summons parties to discuss crisis

COLOMBO (News 1st); Secretaries of recognized political parties have been summoned to the Elections Commission tomorrow (6), in order to discuss the current socio-political situation in the country.

Accordingly, the meeting will be convened at 10 AM tomorrow (6) at the Elections Commission in Rajagiriya.

The Election Commission recently took steps to send a letter containing proposals to curb the current situation in the country to all political parties.

Meanwhile, the commission also said that it hopes to certify the 2022 voter list by October 31st.
