21A for Cabinet approval tomorrow (6)

COLOMBO (News 1st); Minister of Justice, Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe stated that the 21st Amendment to the Constitution will be submitted to the Cabinet for approval tomorrow (6), including proposals submitted by political parties and various other parties.

Dr. Wijayadasa Rajapakshe, President's Counsel, Minister of Justice stated that a special discussion on this subject was held under the patronage of the President, with the participation of the Prime Minister, the Minister of External Affairs and himself as well.

The Minister stated that the draft of the amendment will be gazetted after receiving the approval of the Cabinet.

Dr. Rajapakshe, PC stated that he expects to make a statement in Parliament on the 21st Amendment to the Constitution next week.
