USD 400Mn received to import essential drugs

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Health states that US $ 400 million has been received for the importation of essential drugs.
The Secretary to the Ministry, Janaka Chandragupta said that the assistance had been received from the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and other countries.
Moreover, aid has also been received from the Chinese and Japanese Governments, which would allow the Ministry to import essential medicines required for the coming months.
