COLOMBO (News 1st); Colombo Municipal Council Member Mahinda Kahandagama who was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department for his involvement in the 9th May Black Monday violence was remanded until the 8th of June by the Fort Magistrate’s Court.

The Criminal Investigations Department produced the suspect to Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage on Friday (3).

The Attorney General on the 1st of June named Mahinda Kahandagama as a person involved in the attacks on the peaceful protests in Colombo on the 9th of May 2022.
