COLOMBO (News 1st); Minister of Education, Susil Premajayantha states that the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination, which is to be held in August, has been re-scheduled to be held between October and November.
The Minister of Education stated that while the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination will be postponed, the Grade 5 Scholarship examination too will be postponed.
Moreover, he said that school term will be held until 22 or 23 December 2022 before the start of 2023 school year in order to provide the students with a maximum number of school days, and for schools to cover the curriculum for the year 2022.
The Education Minister also said that the Examinations Department and the Ministry has prepared all the estimates for the necessary printing paper and tools required and had sent it over to the General Treasury to allocate funds from the Credit Lines so far received.
