Army Commander visits President

COLOMBO (News 1st); Making his first formal visit upon assumption of office as the 24th Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage paid a courtesy call on President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the President’s House today (2).

During the courtesy call, the President extended best wishes on the new appointment and exchanged thoughts with the Army Commander.

Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage adding memories to the courtesy visit, presented a memento to the President as a symbol of appreciation and goodwill before the Commander’s departure.
