COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) said that the issuance of Diesel and Petrol to filling stations will continue.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the All Ceylon Filling Station Owners’ Association Shelton Fernando stated that there is a delay in the supply of fuel to rural areas.
Nearly 300 bowsers have been deployed for fuel distribution on Monday (30), said the General Secretary of the Ceylon Petroleum Private Tanker Owners’ Association, Shantha Silva.
However, people are still waiting in lines at filling stations to obtain fuel.
Meanwhile, fuel refining at the Sapugaskanda Refinery is scheduled to commence on Monday (30) as well.
