Six-year old girl dies in train accident

COLOMBO (News 1st); A six-year old girl has passed away after colliding with a train in Kosgoda.

Police stated that the death occurred when two girls were walking near the Piyagama train station in Kosgoda, and one girl had collided with a train travelling from Maradana to Beliatta.

The deceased was identified as a six-year old girl, who was a resident of Piyagama, Hagalla.

The body of the deceased is currently placed at the Balapitiya Hospital while further investigations by Kosgoda Police is underway.
