COLOMBO (News 1st); The body of the missing child from Atulugama, Bandaragama has been recovered, said Police.

Previously, Police launched an wide investigation to locate a nine year old girl who was reported missing since 10 AM on Friday (27) from Bandaragama.

The girl was a resident from Atalugama, and Police said she was a Grade 4 student from a local school.

Investigations evealed that she had visited a shop nearby at 10 AM to buy food and never returned.

Relatives and neighbors have searched the area as she did not return home, and thereafter immediately informed the Police.
