COLOMBO (News 1st); According to the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment, the monthly remittance of Sri Lankans working abroad has dropped to $250 Million.
The Additional General Manager for International Affairs Mangala Randeniya stated that the remittances to Sri Lanka should be increased expeditiously.
He also said that Sri Lankan workers overseas have a great responsibility in ensuring that their remittances are increased to support the economy.
He further said that Sri Lankan workers who send dollars to Sri Lanka through banks are entitled to many benefits.
