COLOMBO (News 1st); A group of small power plant employees engaged in a protest today (24) in front of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) head office against the non-payment of dues by the CEB to small power plants.

They alleged that their salaries have been slashed since June last year due to the non-receipt of dues to small power plants.

Later the protesters had the opportunity to discuss the issue with the General Manager of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB).

News 1st correspondents said that the group dispersed after the General Manager agreed to provide Rs.100 Million for small power plants.
