COLOMBO (News 1st); The Office of the Commissioner of Essential Services states that fuel will be issued on a priority basis for the vehicles of public officers deployed for G.C.E. Ordinary Level examination duties.
Accordingly, the Commissioner General of Essential Services, K.D.S. Ruwan Chandra stated that the relevant officers on duty will be able to go to the nearest petrol station in their area of residence tomorrow (22) from 3 PM to 5 PMand submit their appointment letter and National Identity Card to obtain fuel.
He also stated that the managers of petrol stations have been informed in this regard via the Chairman of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation.
Accordingly, it will be possible to obtain sufficient fuel for the personal vehicles and motorcycles of the officers appointed for examination duties, he added.
