COLOMBO (News 1st); The prices of upcountry vegetables at the Keppetipola Economic Center have increased due to the shortage of fertilizer & pesticides, Secretary to the Economic Center Mahinda Ratnayaka said.

Accordingly the new prices of a few vegetables are as follows:

Beans 1kg – Rs.500/-
Beetroot 1kg – Rs.260/ & Rs.280/-
Potato 1kg – Rs.260/- & Rs.280/-
Carrot 1kg – Rs.160/- & Rs.260/-
Capsicums 1kg – Rs.450/-
