COLOMBO (News 1st); Three people died following a head-on collision between two motorcycles on the Thirunaveli Road in Kopai.

Police stated that the two motorcyclists and the three pillion who were injured in the accident were admitted to the Jaffna Hospital and three of them died due to the serious nature of their injuries upon admission to hospital.

The deceased have been identified as 17, 23, and 25-year-old residents of the Chunnakam, Kopai, and Jaffna areas.

Investigations have revealed that the accident had taken place due to reckless riding by the motorcyclists.
