COLOMBO (News 1st); Minister of Urban Development & Housing, Prasanna Ranatunga said that he will intervene to bring justice to all those whose houses and property were destroyed during the violence that broke out on in the country.

He pointed out that discussions have already been held with the President and the Prime Minister regarding the damages that have occurred on various occasions since March 31st.

Many incidents of arson and destruction of houses and properties have been reported targeting former Ministers, Members of Parliament, Pradeshiya Sabha, and Urban Councilors, as well as supporters of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna in various parts of the country, said the Minister of Urban Development and Housing Prasanna Ranatunga.

The Minister further stated that a special program is being implemented to obtain information regarding the violence, and those who are victims of such acts.
