COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ceylon Electricity Board states that there will be no power cuts today (15).
The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) also stated that at present, 65% of daily electricity generation comes from hydro and wind power plants.
The PUCSL further stated that the remaining 35% will be obtained from the Norochcholai power plant.
The Commission mentioned that no power plant functioning from fuel is currently operational.
Meanwhile, the Public Utilities Commission added that the renovation work of the generator at the Norochcholai power plant which is currently out of order will be completed by 22nd June.
