COLOMBO (News 1st); A protest is currently underway in Slave Island obstructing the flow of traffic, by people who are demanding LP gas cylinders. 

Moreover, another protest is also underway in Mattakkuliya obstructing the new Negombo road demanding gas as well.

Previously, residents of the Nawinna, Maharagama initiated a protest blocking the High Level Road demanding gas.

Our correspondents said that the protest also disrupted traffic..
