Long queues for fuel after curfew lifted

COLOMBO (News 1st); Long queues for fuel were seen across many filling stations in Colombo and the suburbs on Thursday (12) after curfew was lifted for a brief period from 7 AM to 2 PM.

The shortage of fuel has caused serious issues for the general public and industries.

In Anuradhapura, only one filling station was providing fuel, and hundreds of vehicles were seen lined up since morning to purchase petrol and diesel.

In Colombo, several filling stations were only selling petrol.
