'If the Prime Minister resigns it would create a political crisis,' - Johnston

COLOMBO (News 1st); Former Sri Lankan Minister Johnston Fernando said that if Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa resigns it would create a political crisis in the country.

He stressed that the Prime Minister must NOT step down.

The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Local Government Members Forum led hundreds of Mahinda Rajapaksa supporters to Temple Trees on Monday (9) to urge Rajapaksa NOT to step down from the post of Prime Minister.
