Diesel supply restricted until Norochcholai restored

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Power and Energy said that two vessels carrying each Petrol and Crude oil are to be unloaded on Monday (9).

Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said that one of the vessels contained 40,000 MT of Petrol.

The Ministry of Power and Energy stated that auto Diesel will be released to the market with restrictions until the Norochcholai power plant is restored.

According to the Ministry, 4,000 MT of Diesel and 2,500 MT of 92 Octane Petrol are released to the market daily.

Minister Kanchana Wijesekera stated that most of the 92 Octane Petrol has been released to the market.
